After completion of this programme you will be able to:
Support a person’s wellbeing & quality of life in a health & wellbeing setting
Recognise & report risks & changes for a person in a health or wellbeing setting
Provide first aid
Demonstrate health & safety practices in a work environment
Identify support services & resources within the community
Support a person to eat & drink in a health & wellbeing setting
Use different techniques for moving people & equipment in a health & wellbeing setting
As well as completing the industry recognised pre-trades qualification you can expect to develop life and employability skills to make you more attractive to any potential employer. You will also have the opportunity to gain workplace experience from a work placement in the care and support industry. Plus, we like every student to leave with a driver’s license (which we pay for) to make you more employable once you have completed the course.
Literacy & numeracy can be a stumbling block for many learners and that’s why all of our courses include support & assistance in reading, writing & numbers - relevant to your training.
